His Name above all other Names

May 18, 2010

Jesus Christ Lord of Heaven and Earth and all the universe,
His name is above all other names transcending all human games,
And humans will play games like they were children,
And make as a pretense the search for higher meaning,
Forgetting all about how it is more important to understand others,
And understand God’s will, than being understood themselves,
Yes they are very quick to point out in an over exaggerated way,
The significance of money and private wealth,
And place so confidently that ahead of anything else in their lives,
Including faith, hope, love and charity, yes even ahead of their wives,
Where there is despair and misunderstanding, let me sow hope and discernment,
Let all that I am or will become praise Jesus Christ Almighty,
The name that is above all other names, Oh Lord set me free!!!

Bubbling and Foaming River

March 25, 2010

from “Seizing the Poem in the Wonder of the Now” Roger R. Mahaney 2005, PublishAmerica, LLLP page 33-35

Visual images, the sound of music and the poem
A play of light on the objects on the forest floor
Spirits frozen in their dance in a mountain of ice
Rivers bubbling and foaming run through
As if there were a place to run to
And the water lazily roams,
Cascading over rocks and hills freely
Light dances on parked cars
And except for a few Sunday drivers, the streets are empty
And the Spring snow brings a beauty
That only a poet could love.

But a leprous cancer envelops the people,
They hate their jobs and their spouses
They hate each other and the church
A political scheme of lies and misfortune they call the Gospel
And the prophets to them are but fools in a daydream
Tsunamis anyone? Hurricanes, tornadoes, forest fires?
Anyone remember September 11, 2001?
And they run trying to be so important
But they are just vapors that are here for a while,
then gone,
And they are blind to the disease that swallows them up
one by one,
And the snow melts in the lukewarm loathing
That exudes from their guts,
Desperate tempers boil over And frustration reaps in the temples
And Christ is not preached.

The evening’s stillness and silence
Is broken by the ticking of the clock
Which with each passing second
Brings us closer to dawn
With the dawn comes the fear,
Rampaging with troubles and pain
of a workplace with no job security,
nor health benefits for workers,
With declining profits from declining sales,
overstocked, depreciating inventory, theft,
embezzlement, and lazy, inept and apathetic servitude
And with the uncontrollable floating currency the dollar now is
Removing equity from citizen’s hands
And cashing in are foriegnors like the House of Saud
Which brings new terror to the eyes
of the faithless neon-cement jungle
And so it goes in the religion of money
And Christ is not preached.

Yes, and the evening’s stillness and silence
Is also broken by the raging of an occasional siren
And New York’s finest and bravest haul more victims
of the rotting corpses of criminals in putrid prisons
Where education is forgotten, Reform put off for another day
And criminals move in and out with ease and the whores bray
With the joy of their new found prey
And the Bible is bashed in schools and jails
And taken out of context in the church
And Christ is not preached.

If you close your eyes
You can remember a soft, gentle Sunday morning
When we rose up early in the day to pray
And the dew on the grass wet our shoes and socks
As we hurried off to church
And the sermons we heard were real
Straight from the heart and soul full of zeal,
And faith cascaded forth like those bubbling, foaming rivers
All over the country freely and hope was in our eyes
And the road was full of faith and freedom
And our hearts were filled with ecstasy,
The ecstasy of being alive and being a child of God
And full of love of nation, church and each other
You people return to the golden rule, Apollo’s creed of old
Return to love your neighbor and do unto others as you
Would have done to you
And return to the pathway to life by obeying God’s statutes
And let your lips sing praises as of old to the risen Savior,
Our teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ, Naugavishnu
His law is love, His gospel is peace
And He shall reign forever and ever…

Idle Hands

February 25, 2010

Idle hands are the devil’s workshop succumbing to all forms of temptations and vices.
Keep yourself busy with the Lord’s work, feeding the poor, attending to the outcasts,
Do not keep the company of drunkards and harlots obliviously wasting your wealth,
Rather let the good word of the Lord fill your day and night
And sleep serene knowing He keeps vigil for His own,
Think, love and be in complete freedom from distraction,
And practice happiness by staying positively minded,
Above all do justice love mercy and walk humbly with God….

moving from darkness to light

January 7, 2010

t is not likely that those who have walked in darkness as we all have,
will willingly give up the darkness without suffering some, or maybe a lot,
for example I gave up smoking pot and cigarettes in 2009…
and I crave these things for pain relief and personal comfort,
but prayer has led me to give these things up permanently,
not for myself, but for the Lord Jesus….
Let me explain
if I smoke and drink I am no example and therefore worthless to the Lord
while I smoke and drink no one on Earth will take what I say seriously,
therefore as a witness to the Lord I am impotent,
but if I refrain from “the devil’s vices” as they are commonly referred to
I live an exemplary life and am a powerful witness
and if my surrendering of these vices was without pain and suffering
who would notice that I gave them up?
It is not likely that those of us who have walked in darkness
will willingly give up the darkness without suffering some, or maybe a lot!!!
but rejoice in your growing pains as a woman does in labor
for much fruit will come forth from you who continue to learn and grow
and stay and persevere in prayer and deed
if you persevere in prayer and not work, your prayer is a clanging cymbal
to be cast away from the Lord as a detestable devotee
if you persevere in deed that is work and not prayer
your work and deed is useless and will be unrewarded and unnoticed,
so spend sometime in prayer ye who work hard and complain about no reward,
go to church of your choosing and return to the sacraments
so spend sometime doing something useful for society
ye who pray and complain about God not answering you
I bid you to dance with Jesus the Lord of the dance,
and to dance with Him is to embrace life of faith and of works
so take the giant step out of the darkness of your own minds
and step into the light which is God’s creation
peace be with you all…moving from darkness to light

new year’s day poem with a christmas melody

January 1, 2010

inner strength itself a ridiculous thing without love and beauty,
is not gained by caving in to the desires of the devil,
who only has power over those who befriend him,
now Jesus hath declared the devil, satan, by name,
humankind’s most inveterate foe ….
so therefore say as St. Michael taught
“the Lord rebuke you Satan, go in the name of Jesus”
and resist the devil in all he wants of you
and inner strength you will develop
for love and beauty can get pretty ridiculous
without inner strength….

for He bought us with His eternal blood,
baptized us with the Holy Spirit,
and gave to us the blessing of the fellowship
of His church on Earth,
and going even further reconciled us to the Father Almighty,
who is Our Creator…
and all He says is truth,
for He also is the truth, the light and the way
On this day renounce Satan and his lusts
and find yourself very much alive in Christ Jesus,
as you have turned your back on Jesus and everything that is good,
and embraced hatred, death, false witness, and the confusions and delusions
of the devil satan,
the love of Jesus and His bride the church
and His Mother Mary,
and sends you the blessing of Christmas,
and the new beginning of 2010
and bids you to cease from cursing
and bless all those you encounter
with this same Jesus Christ

remember He has claimed you
and there surely is no escape from God, the triune Lord of everything,
turn from all evils and replace them with good deeds,
do the next right thing
and put the vices of the devil to sleep in you
and awake the music within you that blesses all God’s creation,
and reaches out for the healing hand of Jesus the Christ, Son of God
let inner strength flow through you as never before
and live in love and beauty of the fellowship divine…new year’s day poem with a christmas melody

one man’s testimony

one man’s testimony from the heart is clear and present evidence of the triune God….one man’s testimony

the house that Christ built

November 19, 2009

I look at the beautiful nuns praying dutifully the rosary,
and I feel the satanic priests cursing the drugs they send out against our youth,
and I know God made them both….
the satanic priest is a child of God
the nuns are children of God
God of the saints
is God of the devils

and I sit apart and watch
I watch the devils hatch their wicked plans
and I watch the christians do good and make good plans for their loved ones,
and I practice random acts of kindness and charity
and sing the gospel song…
but I pray to God for more than this Armagaeddon I see
good vs. evil(the battle of evermore)

…and I am answered
this Earth is not the end all be all
all things come into being all things pass
so it is with me
and kindness is always a better mode of operation
than wickedness…
and because I chose kindness I have a chance at Heaven
although only by His grace are we saved

this is very confusing isn’t it?
God of the saved is God of the damned
but if majaraja is going to be a healing person
he must reach-out to the damned
yes, the destitute drug addict
the accursed lunatic
the tormented devilish priest
these are for whom the church is the sure foundation,
these are for whom Christ founded the church
the church is not built for saints
it is a hospital for the sin-sick souls embedded
in the sickness of sin….
amen…
the light within you, Jesus, is the light within me
namasste….the house that Christ built

2009 blues

November 10, 2009

the days of waking up and feeling good are over…
for one thing the world is at war and it seems there is no escape,
from the delirium tremens and fear that war causes,
the paper in the morning is full of the nonsense and evil of warfare
and of the culture of death…

those of us who beat alcoholism, tobacco and drugs,
are not without some casualties on the road to recovery,
and as if that doesn’t cause post traumatic stress disorder,
there is the remnant of lack of trust in others and they are reluictant to trust you…
it is awful hard to beat a bad reputation…
the only comfort being that very few got through the war on drugs unscarred…

and it is not without insomnia and crippling worry,
and the nightmares of a haunted sleep we go to bed,
we pray till our asses fall off then pray some more,
and still Satan persists in tormenting us with drunk dreams,
and people who have died of overdose showing up in our dreams
not only haunting us but filling us with remorse and dread…

and worship in the church is pure torture as they condemn abortion,
us, knowing some who have had abortions, can’t help but feel very sad
mad and scared for the souls of our friends everytime they mention abortion
which ends up provoking the eviol one to delight in perpetrating more death
and accomplishes nothing but arousing more antagonism and hate of the church,
they have some nerve mentioning abortion in the pulpit…
we were brought up to mind our manners when speaking from the pulpit
which is now a platform for every form of abomination
mankind has ever perpetrated
and this they call reverence
I am outraged by modern churches…
they would have more success in fighting the murder of the unborn
if they completely ignored it
some abort their babies just to spite the church…
and it gets more and more absurd every day…

and the workplace is the most dreadful place these days,
in the retail business theft is as common in fact more prevalent
than those trying to make an honest days wage
it is not at all pleasant catching your own customers
trying to cheat your boss with fake prices and switched tickets…

watching them trash the environment doesn’t make me feel good either….

makes singing “for the beauty of the earth” a travesty and a tragedy…

pray with me that all will seek salvation
and cease from trashing our nation
p.s. your gambling casinos make me sick too….2009 blues
just trying to keep some semblance of peace of mind
but I feel awful dread when I walk out the door
with my smile looking fake my song sad and my dollars gone with the wind
God bless America!!!

Practice of Happiness

November 8, 2009

part of the practice of happiness is not taking yourself and the troubles of every day life too seriously,
communing with the Holy Spirit is realizing your pain is not too great for Him to heal and relieve,
this is a song in homage to the happiness there is when one turns to the Holy Spirit for guidance, love,
joy, and comfort…Practice of Happiness
