Poem for Monday Evening

It is important to condemn the act of abortion, but not those sinners who commit the act.
(most women would never willingly kill their babies and sterilize themselves)
with female genital mutilation (an estimated 5,000 women at risk)
and many, many, many neglected, abused, prostituted, starving children all over the globe
it is unwise to condemn abortion
and not wealth-worship and its horrible idolatry as well
we, who can create wealth at any given time
should strive to save not to condemn….

How many times shall we forgive our brothers and sisters
not for 7 sins of the flesh
but for seventy times seventy sins of the flesh…

so it goes while Jesus shines an everlasting holy love light,
our brothers and sisters resist that light with all their might,
and the cycle of life and death continues
and we subdue our own faults
to preach the gospel of peace
to anyone who will listen
and for no charge or license
and still they will not believe
they will not turn from their errors
and what’s done is done
and we wind up forgiving
7 million times 7 million times
and humbly fall at our Lord’s feet with praise and adulation
For Him.
