So many things in this world make us so sad, mad and scared
You know it is hard to focus on the love

chain saw rattling against a trunk
half the world is getting drunk
while the other half is sobering up
from a fall and winter so mean
you know what, Lord?
down here it’s hard to focus on the love
it’s hard to cheer everyone up
and focus on the love from above
c’mon people let’s show Him what we’re made of
and focus on the love
one and all focus on the love

You know I just quit smoking 5 weeks ago
after having given-up booze for several years
quitting smoking doesn’t help me with my fears
of God… but it sure helps me with my breath
I try to reach you all but you all have gone deaf
to me and to the Lord God Almighty
Oh Lord they can’t hear me or Thee
but at least I am
It’s always good to focus on the love
focus on your love all through the day
all through the night
focus on the love from God above
