Essay on Abortion

Abortion is a hot and heavy issue these days. The Catholics are furiously fighting to end all abortion and make it illegal. On the other hand, it has become a business for many doctors and lawyers who are exploiting permiscuous sex and providing an easy solution for unwanted babies. However this may be true, there are certain situations that abortion is necessary and to just blatantly make it a capital crime does not seem necessary.
In cases of rape and incest for one, it doesn’t seem right for a young girl to carry a baby she had no choice in having. But the chaotic way young people are “hooking up” and then annihilating the innocent young unborn kid also seems as ludicrous as rape and incest are.
They are not unaware of the consequences and often “hook up” with the same partner after the abortion has been done. There is a definitive difference between freedom and license or permissiveness. I blame the parents who are often carrying on extramarital affairs, doing drugs and engaging in licentious behavior. Like parents, like child. This breakdown in the value structure has occurred because of the media(bad tv and movies), the expansion of the porn industry, and a lack of accountability of those in office. Bought and sold easily these people all have contributed to the rupture of the family unit and left a cloud of corruption and deceit like a halo around this nation.
What is the message? Well, the message is the same as it was 2,000 years ago. Repent and hold your fellow man firm. Repent your evil ways and turn away error. Assail your own hearts and souls with Jesus’ ways and render not alms for repentance but your head, souls, hearts and bodies you shall render to God. And turn away nevermore. Amen.
